Biography

Adam du Pon joins the Parker College of Business from Virginia Tech, where he earned his Ph.D. in accounting & information systems. He has taught accounting analytics, managerial accounting, and accounting information systems, all of which coincide with his primary teaching interests. Adam’s research interests are at the intersection of financial and managerial accounting. His research examines how competition, internal information environments, and analytics applications influence managers’ decisions related to investment, disclosure, performance, and misreporting. He is a CMA and worked for eight years in the gold mining and automotive manufacturing industries in various management accounting and corporate finance roles.
