ACCOUNTING IS THE LANGUAGE OF BUSINESS

The School of Accountancy at
Georgia Southern University is committed to providing quality educational programs. The School, which is fully accredited by AACSB International, enrolls more than 300 students in its undergraduate and graduate degree programs and employs 22 full-time accounting and legal studies faculty members.

The mission of the School of Accountancy is to provide excellence in accounting education through teaching, research and service. We recognize our responsibility to provide high-quality undergraduate and graduate accounting education, to conduct applied and instructional research benefitting accounting and business and to render service to each of our constituencies.

AACSB Accreditation

The Parker College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and has been since 1983. This is a distinction that is held by less than 5% of the world’s business schools. In addition to the Parker College of Business accreditation, the School of Accountancy at Georgia Southern University is separately accredited by the AACSB. Maintaining accreditation requires an institution to maintain qualified faculty and an established program of continual improvement. This requires a great deal of work by the faculty and administration, but it sets our programs apart as some of the top programs in the world.
