The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center at Georgia Southern University serves for-profit businesses in a 13-county area surrounding Statesboro including Bulloch, Liberty, Candler, Screven, Emanuel, Tattnall, Evans, Toombs, Jenkins, Montgomery, Effingham, Chatham and Bryan counties. As part of Georgia Southern University’s Parker College of Business, the UGA SBDC is an essential resource for small businesses. Practical experience, combined with advanced education, gives our consultants the ability to apply current business theory to the challenges faced by today’s entrepreneurs.
As part of The Georgia Small Business Development Center organization, the UGA SBDC at Georgia Southern University is one of seventeen offices located throughout the state and works in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration and six other universities and colleges to provide business consulting and continuing education opportunities to Georgia’s entrepreneurs.
The UGA SBDC at Georgia Southern University provides consulting assistance on a wide variety of topics such as writing a business plan, applying for a loan or other financial assistance, QuickBooks, and marketing their products or services. Additionally, the SBDC provides continuing education programs on a diverse curriculum including Starting a Business, QuickBooks, Marketing, Business Planning and more.
