Elmira Shahriari, assistant professor of marketing, joins the Parker College of Business from New Mexico State University, where she served as a graduate teaching fellow, research and teaching assistant while working on her Ph.D. in marketing. Her research interests are in the areas of consumer psychology (food craving), food marketing (organic foods), consumer culture, processing fluency effects, decision making (heuristics and biases) and sports marketing. Elmira’s teaching interests are in consumer behavior, marketing principles, sales management, advertising, international marketing and personal selling.
