Biography

Dora E. Bock is an Assistant Professor of Marketing who has been at Georgia Southern University since 2012. She received her Ph.D. in 2012 from Louisiana State University. At Georgia Southern, she has taught Principles of Marketing and Marketing Research. Her courses have been designed as experiential or service learning courses in which students engage in marketing projects for real-life clients for the public good.

Dr. Bock’s research interests include consumer behavior, gratitude in consumer exchanges, consumption emotions, relationship marketing, and consumer decision making. Her research has been published in several academic journals among many other national and regional conference proceedings.

Outside of research and teaching, she serves as the Director of Georgia Southern University’s Center for Retail Studies (effective 2013) and as a representative on the Georgia Retail Association Board of Directors. Dr. Bock also serves on College and Department committees and often volunteers at various university functions. She received Georgia Southern’s College of Business Administration Administrative Group Faculty Recognition Award in 2013.
