Biography
R. Gabrielle “Gabby” Swab joined the Parker College of Business in Fall 2022. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi in 2019. Her research interests intersect the organizational behavior and entrepreneurship domains, where she focuses on competition in teams, start-ups, and family firms. She has published in highly regarded academic journals such as the Journal of Organizational Behavior and Journal of Business Research. She has experience in teaching leadership, entrepreneurship, and strategic management and currently serves as sponsorship chair for the Southern Management Association. Gabby is highly involved in the board game industry, co-founding the Association of Gaming Academics, where she promotes the use of gaming as experiential learning in higher education. Her industry experience includes technology, sales, and project management.
