Savannah MBA Professional Enrichment Plan

An MBA Program should be more than a collection of academic courses. That is why we introduced the Parker MBA Professional Enrichment Plan (Parker-PEP) as the new, external component, of our MBA Program.  Parker-PEP is the catalyst that brings the real world into the classroom and takes the classroom into the real world.

Through Parker-PEP, we partner with business and civic leaders to develop high impact experiential learning activities for our MBA students in four primary areas:

  • Self-Care (Maintaining work-life balance);
  • Career Development (formulating a career development plan);
  • Professional Development (creating an upskilling (lifelong learning) mindset); and
  • Community Service (finding an area of service).

Certainly, other programs offer some of these resources.  But one of the unique features of our enrichment plan is that most of the activities take place on campus during regular class time. We understand that you are already sacrificing a significant amount of your personal time to earn your MBA. Parker-PEP enables you to take advantage of high value-adding services, resources, and enrichment opportunities without having to give up even more of your most valuable resource.

Activities are not randomly created; they are carefully designed to support the enrichment plan’s four focus areas.  We provide three different types of activities for each focus area, workshops/seminars, guest speakers, and experiential activities, to provide variety and appeal to all types of learners.

Many of the activities are tied to the courses in order to add value to a discussion, activity, or assignment that takes place in class. Some activities will enable students to apply in the real world some of the things they are learning in class while other activities bring the real world into the classroom.
