Biography

Cuiping Schiman is an assistant professor of economics at Georgia Southern University. Her main areas of research are the economics of health and labor, where she has studied Medicare prescription drug insurance, Medicaid physician fees, the supply of health professionals, and early-life health and longer-term outcomes. Previously, Schiman was an assistant professor of health administration at Pennsylvania State University Harrisburg and a postdoctoral fellow at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. She received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
