The Center for Sales Excellence was established to support and promote our students pursuing a career in sales. Located within the Parker College of Business, the Marketing B.B.A. program offers the students of Georgia Southern University an emphasis in Sales and Sales Management. Recognized by the University Sales Center Alliance as one of the nation’s top sales programs, it is the Center’s mission to have a positive impact on the sales profession through education, research, and service.

Through the Center, students gain experience with sales role-play in our dedicated labs, with many going on to compete in some of the nation’s most prestigious sales competitions. The Center also works to bring students together with companies in the industry looking to hire the best and brightest minds.

It is the goal of the Center to be the preeminent sales program in the nation. We welcome corporations to Become a Partner as we work together to produce the professional sales leaders of tomorrow.

Research shows that today’s top sales graduates have an average job placement rate that tops 96%!

A university sales education provides an excellent return on investment. Most students are highly recruited – one study found the average sales student receives 2.8 job offers before graduation. The current average starting salaries for a technical sales rep exceed $60,000/year. Salespeople report their career satisfaction rating at over 77%. Although programs differ in details and recognition levels, all combine expertise in strategy with applied skills in the growing field of professional selling. Here at the Parker College of Business, we offer an array of sales classes, including, Professional Selling, Sales Management, Advanced Selling, Competitions in Sales, etc. In addition, the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, found at Georgia Southern University, is the only national co-ed professional fraternity in the fields of sales, marketing, and management. Active PSE members can further develop their sales and marketing skills through lifelong opportunities, setting themselves up for future success in their chosen career path.
